My name is David Sparks, owner of Creating Sparks-Pet Care & Canine Training, LLC. Throughout my entire life, I have developed a deep appreciation for animals.When I was growing up, we had several dogs that came from all different scenarios. From strays, to siblings, males, females, and special needs.The diversity of our little “pack” allowed me to learn about their different behaviors, and by interacting with them, their different personalities. I grew to love studying them and that carried into the future and holds true today. Over the years, I periodically attempted to establish a dog service business. I would hang fliers, post ads on Craigslist, or anything else that I could think of to get my name out, but those attempts never led to anything and I put the thought away. However, I would watch dogs that belonged to friends from time to time, which kept those “sparks” alive. When I was 26 years old, I decided to get my very own dog. I picked a black English Labrador Retriever and named him “Hank.” I trained and conditioned him by myself and while I never pushed him to be perfect, he was very well behaved.

           After he passed away from cancer, a dear friend of mine suggested that I sign up for the Rover app to help fill the void that was left behind. I took her advice and after a good year of business, I’ve come to realize even more, how much I love taking care of dogs and helping their owners. Because of this, I decided to expand my operations and dive headfirst into this business adventure! Creating Sparks-Pet Care & Canine Training, LLC was founded in late 2021 and I'll never forget the moment that the name was made. I am continuing to improve my education by learning advanced skills as both a dog handler and instructor from educational media, as well as hands-on experiences. Excitedly, I also have ideas and goals of further expansion in the future!

Cats, fish, hamsters, iguanas, and snakes are just a few of the varieties of animals that I have worked with in the past.
